The first picture was taken today on our walk.

The second picture was taken yesterday at school after our arrival at our welcome party.

Today we met in Seeheim and walked through the Forest to Jugenheim. Ty was with his family and Jon slept in and did not join us. everybody seemed rested and recovered from the flight.

The weather was perfect. The temperatures were in the 70's. We stopped at an Ice Cream shop and sat outside and enjoyed our ice cream and the weather. Monday, most are doing something with their families and I will see everyone on Tuesday at school. The next post will be n Tuesday.

Arrival

Guten Morgen!

We left DIA about 20 to 30 minutes late. We had to circle for a few minutes outside of Frankfurt. The flight was fine (long) with a crying baby two rows in front of us. Our luggage came quickly due to the fact that 90 % of our flight was connecting to other flights. There were only 20 people at baggage claim. We met our host families and went to school. Due to road construction, it took awhile to get to school. Once there we hooked up with the rest of the group who was in the US. We recieved gift bags and had some food. The party was over around 2:45 and everyone went home to unpack and sleep. Tomorrow we are meeting at 11 and going on a hike. I will try to upload photos on Saturday or Sunday.

72 Hours and Counting!

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you are able to get organized this weekend. I emailed the link to this blog earlier and you can pass it on to those who will want to follow our adventures!!

Friday: The weather in the Frankfurt area is expected to be in the high 60's with some clouds. It should be ideal for our arrival.

Remember:
1) Charge your iPod and other accessories before leaving. It's a LONG flight.

2) Make sure your passport is signed and on your person (not in your suitcase)

3) Meet at Lufthansa to check-in between 3:00 and 3:15. DO NOT CHECK-IN alone. Wait for the group!

4) Check in with me before you leave for the day Wednesday to make sure we are all on the same page.

5) Have some American cash for DIA!
